J.Carreaud, S.Chenu, M.Allix, G.Delaizir, A.Bertrand, 'Ceramics and/or glass-ceramics based on tellurium dioxide, uses and preparation process', brevet : WO2017158268 13.03.2017 (2017)

The present invention relates to a glass-ceramic and/or ceramic material that is optically translucent and/or transparent in the visible and infrared, characterized in that it comprises a composition of formula (I) below: where A represents an element chosen from Bi and/or Sb, and B represents an element chosen from Nb and/or Ta, and x and y independently represent a number from 9 to 13, and in that it is chosen from a ceramic and a glass-ceramic. The present invention also relates to the use of this material for the manufacture of optical materials, and also to products containing same. The present invention additionally relates to a process for preparing a material as defined in any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises the following steps: i) preparing a transparent glass comprising a composition of formula (I), and ii) crystallizing said glass in order to obtain said material. The present invention finally relates to the use of a glass comprising at least 60% by weight of a composition of formula (I) relative to the total weight of the glass, for the preparation of a ceramic or of a glass-ceramic that is optically translucent and/or transparent in the visible and infrared.
