Within the framework of the GENIV nuclear reactors, we have studied the MF-ZrF4, (M=Li, Na, K) systems by two complementary techniques. From the combination of 19F and 91Zr NMR and EXAFS at the K-edge of Zirconium in situ at high temperature, we propose a structural description of the cation effect.
